Agera RSR – Limited Edition of 3 cars to be delivered to Japanese Koenigsegg enthusiasts.
Fully customized cars based on the 1160hp Koenigsegg Agera RS.
Exclusive aerodynamic design.
Koenigsegg Automotive AB is pleased to announce the debut of the Agera RSR, an exclusive series comprising 3 examples for Koenigsegg owners in the Japanese market. The Agera RSR was launched at an event held by Koenigsegg Japan in Tokyo on September 5, with Christian and Halldora von Koenigsegg in attendance.
The three Agera RSR vehicles are based on the Koenigsegg RS and form a distinct part of the 25-car Agera RS series.
Specific input from clients was crucial to the design and specification of the Agera RSR, which were amongst the first Agera RS cars ordered and therefore pioneered aerodynamic solutions that were subsequently made available to other customized Agera RS’s. All three feature Koenigsegg’s customary bespoke exterior and interior designs, which were completed in close consultation with clients.
The Agera RSR models were the first of the Agera RS series to specify a dynamic rear spoiler modified from a traditional post-mounted item to become a top-mounted spoiler similar to the Koenigsegg One:1. Such a solution provides greater downforce and improved handling while retaining the distinct Agera RS rear spoiler design.
The Agera RSR also features an air intake scoop similar to that of the Koenigsegg One:1 but of a distinctive, shortened design, to allow for the roof to be stored in the car. The scoop increases the engine’s breathing at higher speeds, which results in more power to the wheels when going at speed.
Christian von Koenigsegg, the CEO and founder of Koenigsegg Automotive AB:
“Japan has been an important market for Koenigsegg since the earliest days of the company. It brought us great pleasure to work with our Japanese clients to bring the Agera RSR to life. The cars they have designed add a new dimension to the already exclusive Agera RS series.”
All three Agera RSR models are soon to be delivered to enthusiast Koenigsegg owners in Japan.
